“...I frequently experience tenseness and pain in my back, which are compounded because I have scoliosis. I have suffered with this condition for years. But, since my initial session with Jill, these problems have not recurred for months. My sessions with Jill were invaluable.” Marty Milligan, former client
“...I walked with a cane for 7 years due to an accident on the job. After Jill worked on me I didn’t have to use my cane anymore. She is very professional.” Denise Levitz, former client

This 'Class of a Lifetime' Is a Lively, Hands-On Workshop
Isometric Muscle and Body Balancing Beginners Class
Course Description for 16 CE hrs.
This is an interactive 2 day course, full of class participation, with 75% of it being hands on. This class discusses the proprioreceptive centers and explains why this is the key element in being able to correct problems.
This class discusses isometrics and the benefits of how and why this technique works. You will then learn to apply isometrics to PNF patterns to release muscles that are tight and also at the same time it tightens muscles that are to loose by applying the same proprioreceptive pathway. You will apply this techniques to 168 major muscles in the beginners class.
This class will discuss body mechanics in simple terms to understand the basics of fulcrums and levers and balance and counterbalancing. The somatic system will be investigated (muscular skeletal, myofascial system and the neurological system) so a better basis of how to distinguish at what level imbalances in the body start.
We will explain, reconstruct, and compare how and why the body creates imbalances as a result of somatic dysfunction in an attempt to move to live. Finally, we discuss how you, the therapist, can use this knowledge to help your client the most. You will have opportunities to train your eyes to pick up imbalance through posture and gait. Once those imbalances are determined we will see how to modify a typical massage to aid in recovering the balance that is lost. This will be learned by performing specialized techniques that reconnect or jump start the central nervous system to the muscle by engaging the proprioreceptive pathways.
Isometric Muscle and Body Balancing Advanced Class
Course description for 24 CE hrs.
This is broken down in upper body class (12 CE hrs) 75-80% hands on and a lower body class (12 CE hrs) 75-80% hands on.
From the background obtained from level 1 you will gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of the Somatic System. You will be practicing how to isometric, strain/ counter strain muscles, passively stretch muscles, apply PNF patterns, release the fascia creating an increase in range of motion and removing the strain on the joints, reestablishing balance and eliminating pain. (A Texas College of Osteopathic treatment performed a study treating people with this technique, it showed that patients had a 96% improvement.)
Individual and group exercises will be used in both classes to effectively teach you to better train your eye to pick up imbalances by delving into postural analysis and defining gait imbalances. Then Hands on training will be given to correct the imbalances regardless of where they are located in the body.
This technique is done without any pressure, tension or movement to the joints.
Upper body (12 CE hrs.) will focus on: Migraines, TMJ, Forward neck, rounded shoulders, frozen shoulders, rotator cuff issues, golfers elbow, tennis elbow, trigger fingers, breathing issues, scoliosis, back pain, neurological issues, etc.
Lower body class (12 CE hrs.) will focus on: Low back pain, sciatic pain, frozen hip, pelvis and hip pain, knee and ankle issues, arch problems, plantar fasciitis, hammertoes, bunions, and neurological issues, etc.
After taking both classes a big picture comes into play that allows you to work on all neurological issues such as Traumatic Brain Injury, Strokes, Spina Bifida, MS, MD, Parkinsons, Lou Gehrig's disease, The list is endless.
